Lost title on a junk car

I bought a car back in 2007 that was in need of an engine. We signed the title and had it notarized, however I lost the title before turning it in. I've had the car ever since, never fixed it and now all I want to do is sell it to get rid of it. I'm only selling for $500. Since it's a junk auto, what do I need to do?
