Thanks for the responses, I'm not looking to get him pardoned, he did wrong. I'm amazed at the differences in the justice system from state to state. I guess as soon as he gets out, he needs to work on getting back to Ohio to finish serving his probation. I heard he can pay around $300 to transfer out of the state. I hope it's true....
BTW...he wasn't already incarcenated for 5 years when this came up, he was serving a one year sentence for theft, (was caught dumpster diving on personal property) . He was on 2 years probation and was in violation so they sentenced him to one year but he was being fast tracked so was due to get out in 2 months. At this time a warrant went out for his arrest on the trafficking stolen property and someone's personal information was attached. So he got one count of traffiking identity theft and two counts traffiking stolen property. I guess I feel the need to clear this up even though it really doesn't matter, he did wrong and is serving his sentence. Thanks again.
