12 month lease to purchase

After signing this agreement two weeks ago we were informed today that the home will continue to be shown after we move in which was to be Monday. We are not to get a key but rather it will stay in a lock box. Is this legal? Can we get out of the lease without penalty?

It may depend on the agreement that you signed. For example, this may be common if you signed a lease where the owners would continue to attempt to sell the house as investment property however it is still strange that they are not giving you a key. I recommend contacting a local real estate attorney to see if you can break the lease without consequences based on breach of contract (if that is the case).
