I am re-locating out of the country and leaving a 11 year old son with his Dad. I will be unemployed for a period of time (6-12 months) and have no income. Could you tell me what the guidelines may be for expected shild support payments from a parent that is unemployed? The child lives in Colorado and there is not a support order in place at this time. We are just separating.

If you google "colorado child support calculator," you can get an estimate of what you would have to pay. It varies from state to state, and on many other factors that a court could consider which would be outlined in the child support order.
