After receiving a speeding ticket I filed for a motion for discovery and a motion dismissal on grounds officer did not have his lights on. Judge tried motion without officer there and denied motion for dismissal. I then requested a trial by jury. They told me they would give me motion for discovery when I received motion for jury trial. After receiving no notice for trail I was given fine for 250$ for not showing up for trail on June 9 a year later. Can I request a new trial date, and do I have to pay a fine for not being notified.

I am a little surprised about the trial by jury. These are generally not even available for traffic violations. I would request a new trial date on account that you were never notified of the original trial date. If the court approves, they will likely waive the $250 but that is something you will have to request the court/judge and find out form them.
