HOW DO I MAKE SOMEONE PAY FOR DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE

I allowed a friend to borrow my truck, she wrecked it and will not pay the cost of $1800 to repair it. She has no insurnance. She would not return the truck to us so we had to, by the advice of the police, go get it back in the middle of the night. She had a few belongings in it that she is demanding back.

The only way to recover for damages to your vehicle would probably be to file a lawsuit. You can do so in small claims court in your county. Although most places allow you to hire an attorney to bring with you to small claims court, it is not really necessary and you can present your case without having to hire an attorney.
