Garnishment without notice
Write Your Full Question Here
Hello, yesterday a place that I have an account at, called my work and asked for the payroll supervisor. I happen to be the one who answered the call. My supurvisor was out all day yeaterday and will be today as well so I took a message. when they told me who was calling and that it was in reference to garnishment, I asked if it was in reference to me. The lady on the phone said no. My supervisor called in to check on things and I gave her the information. She called me last night, the call was about me. I have never been served or received any registered mail that there is a problem. Is it legal for them to call my place of work with stating garnishment when I have not been notfied legally???
